EXAMPLES OF OUR WORK
We always start by putting a lot of work into preparation. The area to be paved is first dug out to a suitable depth. Then a hardcore sub base is consolidated using suitable aggregate and a compactor. The next step is to lay the slabs on a wet cement mortar bed, which provides a good, long lasting bond. This method is far superior to laying slabs on a sand bed, because the sand tends to move around and the slabs, over time, will come loose and start wobbling.
We always, carefully consider the gradients in the garden and install drainage where necessary.
The paving slabs and walling materials we offer are available in Peterborough and are of the highest quality. Most of our paving comes from Primethorpe Paving, on the Werrington Bridge Road. They have an excellent display of their products and paying them a visit will always be worth your while. Please visit their page for information on the different types of paving slabs available.
We also install Bradstone and Marshalls products. Both are known for their high quality. To see these products on display you can visit Travis Perkins or the display room at Rose Landscapes in Fengate.
If you have found your own paving slabs, or driveway blocks, online, you will be free to supply them and we can install them for you.
Again, it's all about good preparation. We start by digging the trenches and pouring a solid concrete footing. This is vital if the wall is to have a long life. We also offer retaining walls for retaining lawns etc, or for forming raised beds. We often use sleepers for this as it is more cost effective and looks fantastic. We install Oak sleepers, Treated Pine and Reclaimed Railway sleepers.
Our walling materials are available to view at the above links.
